Cheap and Cheerful

Take a supermarket Hyacinth.........
Add some vintage china, that just happens to be sitting in the cupboard........

and walla a pretty window display to cheer you up on a gloomy January day, and.......

it only cost a couple of quid. It's amazing what you can do with a bit of imagination.
I'm nursing yet another cold and cough, so keep dosing my self up with paracetamol and honey and lemon :o(.
Off to make a Victoria sponge in a minute for hubby, catch you later.

What a lovely idea :) I'd love to grow some hyacinths but I know my cats would just eat them....

Hi, i've just wandered over here via Leanne at Somerset Seasons. I've just read your profile, The Mists of Avalon is one of my favourite books too. i also dream of Avalon, waking to look out of my window at the Tor each mornng, *imagined bliss*.I'm also a big fan of Loreena McKennit, new age shops and most things witchy!
I think the cup and bulb thing is a wonderful idea, inspired indeed! I'll be back for more, very soon! It's lovely to have 'met' you. Brightest Blessings to you xXX

Oooh, might have to the same. Have so many of those cups in the cupboard! :-)

I've had the same cold now for weeks too. I think these are boomerang colds that keep coming back to bite you in the ass! Luckily my cold is not too bad and can still function, although my voice does sound a bit like Mr bean!
