This afternoon I had some friends over for afternoon tea. I'm shattered now, I've been cleaning and baking all day. The Tea Party went well though and everyone was stuffed.
I made a chocolate cake, recipe was from Nigella Lawson's Feast cookbook, and its the old fashioned chocolate cake recipe.
I also made a Victoria sponge with homemade Lemon Curd filling. The girls love my lemon curd.

We also had cucumber sandwiches with the crusts cut off, pate sandwiches and egg sandwiches.

Wow you have been busy! I would have loved to come to tea. I especially like the look of the macaroons although it all looks lovely. Poor Woody being tempted by the chocolate cake!

That looks amazing, well done! I've got that Nigella book, must have a look at that recipe.
Thanks v much for your comment about the craft fair. I will let you know the date when it's all booked and confirmed. I'll have to wait til payday to pay for the table (naturally my priorities are all wrong and I've bought the materials before booking a place!!!) but it would be great to see you there.

Such a great idea!
I have a couple of hearts to make for 2 very special people and was going to fill them with lavender but then realised neither of them like lavender. So, thought i'd use the rose which i'm sure they will both love. Can you pleeease tell me what's best to use and the best place to get it.
Big hugs
