aaaaarrrrrggggg!!!!

Having one of those days today? I sure am. Remember these goodies, which are my fabric swap goodies for Victoria Plum. Well it would seem the good old Royal Mail have lost the parcel :o(. I must say I'm completely gutted. There are some handmade goodies in there for Olivia which I spent a lot of time creating. I just hope somehow the parcel turns up and is re-delivered to Olivia or is sent back to me. Otherwise I will have to start again. I'm so cross.

I also finished my International Tilda swap parcel today and took to the post office. All prettily wrapped and carefully packaged up, and handed over to the lady behind the counter who told me it would cost £30 to send. *********how much!!!! I nearly hyperventilated. She told me it would be cheaper to split the parcel and send more than one package. So off home I went undid all my brown paper and parcel tape handiwork and started again. I actually removed something from the parcel. Re-packaged and took back to the post office. This time it cost a little over £10, a lot better than £30.

I'm consoling myself with a bar of galaxy cookie crumble choccy at the moment, and listening to the rain. Sorry this is such a moany post, but I needed to let of steam.

It is both upsetting and annoying. I hope it turns up for you. I never received the Spring goodies that Anna sent to me and she sent hers recorded!
Console yourself with chocolate, I think it always helps!

Oh what a nightmare, no wonder you're gutted. I do hope it turns up soon. Even if you have proof of postage and can eventually claim compensation, you can't put a price on your handmade items can you?

Hmm, chocolate's good but I'd also recommend a stiff drink and a spaniel cuddle! ;-)

Keep smiling, Hx

I recently sold some stuff on eBay and I parcelled up 3 lots of china... took it ot the post office on the friday and while I was out Saturday morning the postman tried to deliver one parcel back to me, Mr P told the postman that I had only just taken that to the post office yesterday and it would appear that the lady in the PO had but hte stamp on the return address side... the PM said that I would have to take it back to the office Mr P said that he didn't think so .. their mistake they could put it right... trouble was that it wasn't recorded and I had visions of the postie lobing it in the hedge! lol

by Thursday I was starting to panic... then finally the buyer left a message saying that it had arrived Tuesday!

I hope your parcel makes a miraculous appearance.. fingers crossed...

and I had to do the same thing with a parcel to America...

Glad you had the heart to take it all home and re-do it, I would have paid the 30 quid and been in a strop all day! tee hee, lovely pink spots by the way!

oh that's so poo :( royal mail have lost so many parcels of mine recently, both sending and recieving, the worst one we've had was a parcel that was brought to my home when I was at work, and then taken back to the sorting office, never to be seen again! Fingers crossed yours shows up soon xx
