Comfort Food

I'm feeling sorry for myself today, like Sophie Dahl said on her programme last week, I'm suffering from a Eeyore day. I've got a pain in my side which I can't shift even after taking paracetamol, I'm hobbling along after being stupid and wearing new trainers on my 2 hr dog walk yesterday which took the skin off the back of my heel. The house is a mess, there's dust everywhere I look, but I don't have the energy or inclination to clean it. So whats a girl to do?....... I made myself a big bacon butty and a brew to cheer myself up, it was bloomin horrible.... :o) I also have a cake lined up in a bit, after my butty has gone down.....alas I shall never be slim.

I kept forgetting to take a pic of these. These were bought at last weeks car boot. Three Redoute botanical prints in frames for £3.....Bargain. Not keen on the frames, so I will either buy new, or paint these.

Well off to wallow.

I can really understand. Days like that are totally rubbish. When I have a day where I feel blue I make myself lots of toast with melted butter on, and a big ole pot of tea. I am totally convinced of the medicinal properties of a hot pot of tea. And then I abuse a few cream eggs just for good measure. I hope you feel better soon. Sending a big hug. Emma xxx

I'm sorry to hear you're not feeling well. Hope you feel better soon. I like your botanical prints! Oke, the frames are terrible but a creativ person like you can certainly do something to make them more beautiful. Or buy new ones indeed!
Get well soon!

Dearest Eeyore :) I know how you feel, it's hard when you have days like that, sounds like you need Tigger to come along and bounce around until you have to laugh at him! I just found your blog and read your profile, I have to say I too would LOVE to live in a cottage with a bit of land in Somerset. I spent a lot of my childhood in the Dorset countryside and long for those days again, nowadays I live in Belgium but boy do I miss England! So it's been fun to catch up a bit with that Cottage feel at your Blog. I'm having a giveaway, details on my Blog, may cheer you up a bit :) Hugs, Catherine x

We all get those days! Isn't awful when the most you can manage is to look at the dust and then walk off! Yummy, bacon butty, I want one now! Love that mug too, and hmmm, I love the prints and I think I would definitely paint the frames. Suzie xxx

Hello!

I'm your partner in the Fabric Addict swap!! Nice to meet you - it's always good to discover new blogs ... yours is great!

Let me know your colour/pattern preferences ... although, I can guess that anything CK-like would do the trick! :)
