I'm still alive......

Hello folks. Sorry for my serious lack of posts this past week or so. I've been spending my blogging time walking with the dog in an attempt to loose weight and get fit. The weather has been lovely and we've had some lovely walks, all of which I forgot to take the camera on. Thanks for all the tips on getting rid of my hiccups. You'll be pleased to know that I did go to bed that night hiccup free.
I have some new bed linen, sadly cannot afford CK or LA at the moment, but thought this set was lovely, it's from the Tesco Direct catalogue and at £11.74 for a king size set a bargain too.

And while out buying some mothers day flowers on Saturday I bought a £2 bunch for me too, aren't they pretty?
I've also been busy finishing a Tilda swap which I will be posting today, then I can put some serious effort into my Easter/spring swap parcels.
How's everyone else getting on with their swaps? Does anyone have theirs yet?
Take Care. xxxx Pixie xxxx

Been to Bosham......

Hello peeps. I had a lovely day yesterday in Bosham with my sister in law. Its a lovely picturesque village with a little harbour, but me being the doughnut I am forgot to take the camera. When I go back with hubby I will try and get some pics. Here's some bits I picked up. The top pic is some pretty stationery for all future blog swaps and staying in touch with new bloggy friends. I did get some more cards but can't show pics of them!
Picked up an Emma Bridgewater cake tin, for just £3.50, as it as a dent on the lid and is a little faded.

I was snapping this little beauty before I'd even taken the label off. I have a few of this range. Its dotty cockerel by Gisela Graham.

Some smelly bath melts! They do smell good. xxxxxx

and some pussy willow to put in with my dafs.

Hope you've all had a good weekend. Its sure been a gorgeous day today.
I hope everyone has managed to contact their swap partners for the Easter Springtime swap. If you haven't please let me know and I will see if I can chase them up.
Don't forget LRTC tonight. xxxx

Bits and Pieces.........

Hello folks, I haven't been on here as much for a few days, so I haven't had time to comment on as many of your blogs as I would have liked. I was on a course all day yesterday, but managed to pop into Cheselpeake Mill on the way back. Its been all re-done and looks fab. got a few bits and pieces. I fell in love with these storage boxes, aren't they cute. Not sure what I'll put in them yet, but I'm bound to find something.
I also found some love cotton tape by Caroline Zoob and a couple of East of India ribbons.

And I just loved this vintage fridge magnet. The little mini teapot above I found in the whittards outlet shop today for £3, thought it was like the new Emma Bridgewater design.

Thanks to everyone who had a look for some fabric for me, much appreciated.
Having one of those days today, where you look at the house and know that lots needs doing, but you can't do a particular job until you've done another one.....phew.....and it goes on. It doesn't help that I've got so many ideas of things to make racing through my mind, and I have a couple of swaps and pressies to complete. All this and no wine or chocolate, cos I'm trying to be good too :O(.
Hope everyone had a good weekend. (((((hugs))))) Pixie. xxxx

A banging my head sort of day.......

Hi folks, Thanks for all the lovely comments about my home, they did make me giggle, as my house is far from immaculate really, I just take pics of the good bits. :0)

Hen, I'm so glad you liked the gingerbread man hangy and couldn't part with it, made me smile.

The above pic is my latest buy. It's a Gisela Graham tea pot and goes with the jam pot and salt and pepper shakers I already have. It was in the sale at Haskins for £6.30 and was picked up for me by my SIL, she knows what I like. My SIL and BIL came to dinner last night and bought me one of her handmade xmas pud bears, isn't he the cutest.

As the title of my post suggests I feel like I've been banging my head against a brick wall today, trying to sort out pet insurance. I managed to get my existing policy a little cheaper, but it would appear changing insurers isn't an option as we made two claims on the dog last year, which is not an ongoing illness but new insurers now won't insure him if he gets a tummy upset in the future, which is the only thing I'm likely to claim on. I think this is ridiculous as what pet doesn't get tummy upsets at one time or another. AARRRGGGHHH.

My other issue today was trying to understand the person on the other end of the phone. The call centres always seem to be abroad and we both had trouble understanding each other, so it takes 10 times longer to sort out and I'm still none the wiser. OK rant over now.

On a brighter note, thanks to Mrs L on the CL forum, I've found wellies that will fit my legs, I'm so excited I've been looking for years for wellies that will fit. They are a little expensive but will last me ages so I'm looking to purchase a pair in the near future, and will pop a pic up.

Have a nice stress free afternoon folks.
