Fancy a Gander.........

Now I know that the lovely Maaike has received her swap parcel, I can put some pics up of what I made her. Maaike organised the International Tilda Swap. We had to make a creation from a couple of the Tilda books by Tone Finneanger. They all had to be the large sized creations, so I decided to make this very large goose, I called her goosey Lucy but as she now belongs to Maaike, she can call he whatever she likes. I must admit I was so pleased with how she turned out that it was hard to part with her, but I'm now going to make myself one, along with all the other 20 million things I want to make :o) lol.

I used Laura Ashley Abberville fabric for her dungarees and made her in white and orange linen, and finished her off with a hat in the same fabric as her dungarees and a raffia bow.

Phoebe has to inspect her before she was posted off!

And here's a few other items I included in Maaikes swap parcel. There was also a bag of chocolate eggs and a card which I forgot to photograph.
It was a fantastic swap, I was so pleased with what I received (just scroll down to previous post) Thanks Maaike. xxxxx

What a lovely goose! you have made her so well she looks exactly like she does in the book, my creations never quite seem to look the same as I'm not as good at sewing as you. I would be thrilled to receive such a lovely gift. Lisa. xxx
