Some me time.......

I've made quite a lot of late, but it's all flown off to lovely new owners in the form of swaps and giveaways. So as I had a day off on Thursday, I decided I'd made something for me to keep. I wore sloppy joes all day not a scrap of makeup and ignored the looming housework, got out my sewing machine and created these.
I made myself a little Easter Hare in pretty spring colours. I think I will call her sunny, ''Sunny the Hare''.

After making my spring swaps, I wanted to make myself a Hare in a pot too.

I've spent a few hours in the kitchen today, made a shepherds pie for my in laws and a batch of scrummy lemon curd, and some cornflake cakes. I'm doing another car bootsale tomorrow, so will be up very early, must be bloody mad! Then tomorrow evening we've got mum and dad over for dinner. So a busy day tomorrow.

I've had a terrific lot of post this week, I just can't believe it really. Look what came in the post for me today.

A gorgeous gift from Madmummy. I really wasn't expecting this so was a lovely surprise. The place mat and heart are all scrumdidlyumpscious in this pretty Easter fabric.
As I'm writing this post I'm watching Britain's got talent. It's bloomin good too, laughing my head off here.
Have a lovely weekend and fantastic Easter.

On First Name Terms With The Posty......

A comment made by Josie-Mary made me laugh yesterday. She said ''you must be on first name terms with you posty'' well yes...... he does know me and woody quite well now! Woody always gets a pat on the head when we open the door. Today another parcel arrived, its been a good week for post. This parcel was a spring swap from the Shabby Chic Forum. It's from Yvonne at Country Bliss, and look what lovely goodies she sent me.

How cute are these................

This is very pretty, and will great on my jacket.........

Hello chook!

These little stick on chics look good on the enamel jug for the Easter Tree.

There were three of these little cuties which were quickly added to the tree and look very pretty.

A pretty hand made card.

I thought these little crochet bunny flowers looked really sweet in this jug.

some adorable mini bunting in very spring colours.

I've been truly spoiled this week. Thanks so much Yvonne.

I'll leave you with a pic of the flowers I got from the reduced bucket at Tesco's Tuesday.

Easter Tree, Baking Swap & Surprises.......

Greeting bloggers. I've been a very busy bee! Here is my Easter Tree, what do you think? I was pleased with it. My nephew helped me collect the branches today, and I spent about 20 mins putting it together. Can you spot the Easter Bunny?...........................

Now a little while back Myself and A Thrifty Mrs decided to do a baking themed swap. I forgot to photograph mine but if you go to the SCC Forum you can see them there. Guess what came in the post for me yesterday.

Now I was chatting to Bloomin Myrtle on the forum in the week and she said she'd kindly send me some chop sticks to stick geese on (Don't go phoning the RSPCA there in the Tilda Books. LOL) So she did but she sent me loads and some fabric, pretty gingham ribbon, a lovely handmade brooch and a handmade Easter Card.

Yummy.......edited

It's definitely a good post week this week. The lovely Anita sent me this yummy giant chocolate heart hobnob that she'd made today as a Thank you. Anita is getting married in a few months time and I lent her my garter for her something borrowed and blue. Bless you sweetie, I really didn't expect anything in return, its just nice to help.

I've eaten nearly half already, but it was spotted by some strange brown and white hairy critter with long wavy ears, AAAAAGGGGGHHHH, what could it be????????

Can you guess who it is yet?

Well I had to share a bit with my little man didn't I. Woody loves hobnobs.

I did dunk a bit in my tea, it just has to be done, don't you think? I wonder if the queen dunks????
EDIT
I've added a biscuit dunking poll on my sidebar for a laugh. xxx

Tuesday musings..........

I managed to finish the other sets of flower faerie cushions last night, and had to take another pic. I could have my whole house covered in this fabric and not get bored of it, its so pretty.
Also whipped up this little pin cushion last night, can't decide if I like it though, I was just itching to make something from this fabric.
I'm working the school holiday club this week, and we got the paints out today, and blimey didn't they make a mess, one girl had pink fluorescent paint all over her cream cardigan. I do hope it comes out in the wash. Got home about half one, and look what the postman brought me......

I ordered this online last week after Sarah at Pink Petal Designs had recommended it on her blog. I've had a bit of a flick through, but will have a good read a bit later when I'm in my jammies, fleecy dressing gown, slippers and snuggling with my hottie, cos its bloomin freezin. I mean you've got to be comfy on days like these.
I've got a nice shepherds pie cooking for tea to warm the insides and a glass of wine for me! I'm just enjoying the peace and quiet at the moment, hubby's still at work, dog and cat are dozing and its cosy inside.

This is my attempt at tidying my dining room table. You should have seen it last night, fabric everywhere. Well I might get a bit of blogging done before tea, so catch you later. xxx
