I've opened my shop......

Well I said I'd do it, and I have. My blog shop is now open. Please take a look at Faerie Nuff's Stuff. Hope you like it.

Well needless to say the Domestic Goddess bit has gone out of the window today. I told you I was rubbish at this time management stuff. After work I've got to go to the supermarket to do my mums shopping as shes got the lurgy. I'm going to pop over with it in the morning and run her up the bank, then hopefully I'm off to the Christmas Market in Winchester so I must remember my camera. If anyone lives locally, I can recommend it. Lots of little wooden chalets filled with gorgeous Christmas crafts, goodies and scents. I will try and restrain myself but its not easy. I'm hoping to pick up a goody or two for my cosy night in swap parcel.

Faerie Nuff's Stuff

Evening all,

I've just created another blog! arrrggghhh. Well, it has a purpose. I think I could use it as a shop and sell the odd bits and bobs that I make. It will probably take a few days for me to set up, but what have I got to lose. I have called it ''Faerie Nuff's Stuff'', thought it had a bit of a ring to it. I got the idea of a blog shop from Thrifty Mrs blog. If you haven't checked out her blog please do so, she has some great little vintage pieces in her shop.

A Wanna Be Domestic Goddess

You would think with all these books, on cookery, cleaning and good old house wifery, that I'd be a true domestic goddess. Urm! I'd like to be, but I'm dreadful at managing my time and I'm probably the worlds biggest procrastinator. So it is my aim, starting from today, as we always break our new years resolutions, to be a Domestic Goddess. I can already talk the talk, but need to be able to walk the walk.

I'm hoping to go to the Christmas market in Winchester on Saturday, but will try and get a bit of cleaning done. Sunday is the first day in ages that is free, and I'm so looking forward to it. I'm going to get the Christmas cake made and hope to get some cleaning and sorting out done as well. Hopefully I will try and tackle either the bathroom or the kitchen, as these two rooms are in desperate need of some tlc, and need more than just a quick flick around.

I've made a start, and have dinner ready prepared, so that I can just switch it on when I'm home from work. I'm treating Mr Pixie to a sirloin steak tonight, how decadent. But I'm sick of chips so were having roast potatoes, roast parsnips, carrots and broccoli. I bought a tub of beef dripping at the farm shop today to cook the roasties in, yum. Whilst at the farm shop I also ordered the Christmas Turkey, a 5kg bronze bird, that will grace the Christmas table. As turkeys are a fair old bit of cash I also paid £10 off today, so its not quite such a huge amount in one go.

I'm feeling all festive now that the birds ordered and I'm singing the pogues Christmas song in my head. I must hook out that CD. Well have a good day all, any tips on my road to being a domestic goddess would be greatly appreciated.

Greetings.....

Greetings all. Sorry I haven't been around much the past week, its been manic as usual, the weekend especially.

I was on a first aid course all day Saturday and went to see the witches of eastwick Saturday night. I've only ever seen pantomimes at the theatre before. This was a strange one though. I did enjoy it, but its not something I'd want to see again. The singing was great though. I had a woman with very fuzzy hair in front of me, If only I had a pair of scissors :o). lol.

Yesterday I was at the Hove bear fair. We walked in to a huge hall with only 19 stalls. It was badly organised as the date had been changed three times, and at £80 a stall, the stall holders that did go were far from impressed. We all hope it will be organised differently next year. But my sister in law didn't do too badly. She sold a few. She was featured in the latest bear mag, so did well selling her christmas cake bears. Please check out her bears (Teeny Bears), the Xmas pud is great!

Well I'm off to a candle party tonight, and the rest of the week needs to be spent cleaning the house.

Look what I've got....

I ordered these two books from the book club that comes around to the school. The CK book was only £5 and Jamie was £10. I shall be kept busy for hours now.
I love the apron and the Stanley hottie.

Will be making these dishes they look scrummy.

Just put a few bits on etsy, but having problems with the pics. I'm putting them on the e-bay setting of my camera, so that they arn't too many pixels, but they are very fuzzy. I want to use the macro mode on the camera to get close ups, but then the files too big aaaggghhh. Todays Craft Fair......

Well after much, toil and very sore fingers from all that sewing, we set off for the craft fair today. Heres a pic of the stall after I'd sold two items, as I forgot to take a pic before then.
As usual, I spent more than I made, when I saw this gorgeous little bracelet and had to buy it. I just love the colour.

My sister in law made the bears and this Beatrix potter hangy. I think its lovely. It didn't sell, but I know she wants to give it as an Xmas gift anyway, so never mind.

I won't be buying my cottage in the country yet. I sold a few bits, but didn't make much, so will be putting it all on etsy in the next few days.

It was a lovely fair, but the people were just not coming in. :o(

This is the Christmas angel that I was up until 12.00 finishing. I still have her too.

Had a nice day until it was home time. The exit from the car park is really tight, and I managed to scrape and dent the side of my car. I'm so cross, and hubby wasn't best pleased either. So the little money I made will be going towards a car repair now. :o( Its just not my year this year. Still I'm enjoying a quiet night in now with a glass of wine.

She's No Angel.......

Well not yet anyway.......I managed to get the clothes finished for my next angel today. They just need a bit of decoration with stitches before they go on, but I'm glad there made. The dress is the most time consuming bit and a little fiddly. I've not bothered attempting to stitch it on the machine, its easier by hand. This is going to be a Christmas angel, and I'm liking the colours. I need to find time to get the angel done now. I'll be running around like a headless chicken this evening, so no chance then. I will try to get her done between working tomorrow and a first aid course on Saturday, ready for the fair on Sunday.

Managed to get this heart done the beginning of the week, its scented with rose. I have another two of these cut out to make. I also need to make a gingerbread garland. AAAGGHH theres not enough hours in the day. At least my orange and cinnamon sticks have turned up now, and also my pink bags have arrived. So almost all set.

Wednesday Musings.....

Morning all, no pic to show you today I'm afraid. Just thought I'd pop in and say hello. I'm not feeling too great today, got a cough and an upset tummy, my knee hurts and I'm feeling old and sorry for myself. :o(

Just got back with the dog and its bloomin freezin outside today. All I want to do is curl up in my PJ's with the heating up and watch a good old film like Summer Magic, or Pollyanna. I think I might order my shopping online in a minute and then a bit of sewing and off to work. My house is so neglected at the moment, but as soon as Sundays craft fair is done, I need to get stuck in to some cleaning.
